Pause at the promise

Investment risk does not disappear because a pitch sounds confident. Promises of unusually high returns with little risk deserve scrutiny.

Replace urgency with questions

Ask for the product documents, the identity of the firm and an explanation of how losses could occur. Keep the answers together so you can compare them without the pressure of a sales conversation.

Make space to investigate

Pressure to act immediately can be a fraud warning sign. Take time to verify the business and understand the proposal. If basic facts remain unclear, record those gaps before making any decision.
